First explorations

We got up early to do a bike tour around the city center. It is the only way to travel.
Paris has a lot of bike lanes
They are pretty busy, but way better than being in traffic.
Notre Dame is scheduled to be reopened in December.
View from a bridge
St Germain de Pres. Painted the way Gothic churches were when they were first built.
Art Nouveau features on the Alexander III bridge.
We had salads at a sidewalk cafe for lunch, and then went to Shakespeare and Co to see if we could find a Spanish language book for Ellie. No dice.
Notre Dame from the river.

We got tired and spent the afternoon on a hop on/hop off boat and dozed in the grass in the Jardin de Plantes.
On our way home we browsed the bouqinistes looking for a Spanish language book. We got some stickers and looked at Banar prints, but lots of philosophy and no Spanish.

Dinner is late, but in a Himalayan restaurant...we are in a South Asian neighborhood.
I did not get a photo of the sampler platter that we attacked immediately.
